Pocatello Boy Scout and homeschooler Kian Jensen organized and held a variety auction to benefit the Senior Activity Center on Saturday, November 23.  The auction raised over $700 for the Center.

In preparation for the auction, Kian contacted local businesses, obtaining donations from them ranging from gift cards to merchandise, recruited individuals to provide a variety of baked goods, and brought in a professional auctioneer to conduct the event.

Kian commented, “I’d like to thank the following local businesses and individuals who provided donations to support my Eagle Scout project and the Senior Activity Center:

ISU Credit Union, The Poky Dot Boutique, Old Town Mercantile & Antiques, The Elwin Cottage, Vicker’s Western Store, The Popcorn Shop, Element Outfitters, Barrie’s Ski & Sports, Crumbl Cookies, Gin Sen Restaurant, Ridley’s, Reel Theatre, Red Lobster, Geronimo’s, Kiwi Loco, Taste of Hawaii, The Union Tap Room, Amazing Glaze Donuts, Buddy’s, The Cookie Place, Wingers, Mama Inez, Butterburr’s, Mandy Williams, Tarry Barker, Nita May, Patty Griffin and Kathy Swenson.

I’d also like to thank the individuals who came to the auction to support our local seniors.
