At the regularly scheduled meeting of the Hearing Examiner set for Thursday, January 9, at 5:30 p.m. in the City Council Chambers, besides disclosure of ex parte communications and site visits, the only item on the agenda is a request by Gables Assisted Living Center for a sign exception.
The property under consideration for the exception is 2805 S. Grant Avenue, according to the agenda, “within a Residential Medium Density Single-Family zoning district.”
An exception is required if the sign is to be placed, as the Municipal Code does not allow new business signage within residential zoning districts without such approval. The requested sign would be approximately 7.3 feet tall and 16 feet wide.
