With a little over 86% of the vote in for the Democratic Presidential Primary held yesterday in New Hampshire, the race has been called for Senator Bernie Sanders.

Sanders currently has 25.73% of the vote, giving him a projected 9 delegates.  In 2nd place was former South Bend, Indiana, Mayor Pete Buttigieg, with 24.44% of the vote, also projected to receive 9 delegates.  Third place went to Minnesota Senator Amy Klobuchar, who has thus far received 19.78% of the vote and a projected 6 delegates.  Both Senator Elizabeth Warren, who came in 4th, and former Vice President Joe Biden, who placed 5th, received less than 10% of the total votes cast. Entrepreneur Andrew Yang, who received less than 3% of the vote, announced his withdrawal from the race.

1991 Delegates are needed to secure the party’s nomination for President.  Total delegates projected to date leave Buttigieg in first place with 22, Sanders with 21, Warren with 8, Klobuchar with 7, and Biden with 6.
