Pocatello’s Planning & Zoning Commission has an upcoming vacancy.
This volunteer commission advises the City Council on a variety of planning and zoning issues. Their role is to make recommendations and decisions regarding land use, land use plans, planning processes, and matters of plan implementation.
Meetings are held the second and fourth Wednesdays of January through October and the second Wednesdays of November and December at 6:30 p.m. with a pre-meeting each time at 6 p.m.
Interested persons living inside the city limits can obtain an application by contacting the Mayor’s Office at 911 North 7th Avenue, by visiting the Advisory Committees link at:
or by calling 208-234-6163. In addition to being residents of Pocatello, applicants must have also resided in Bannock County for at least two (2) years prior to appointment in order to be eligible for consideration.
Applications for membership must be received by February 28, 2020.
Other Advisory Committee vacancies, which can be viewed at the website link noted above, include the Americans with Disabilities Grievance Act Committee, Animal Shelter Advisory Board, Community Development Block Grant Advisory Committee, Parks & Recreation Advisory Board, Pocatello Arts Council, and Sister Cities Committee.
