The deadline for applying for a Zoo Education Internship is fast approaching. The City of Pocatello has released the following statement regarding the Internships:
Zoo Idaho education interns will sail into Idaho wildlife informal education! This position aims to prepare individuals for a position working as an informal environmental educator with interest in local wildlife biology and ecology. Interns will be trained on the legal and safety issues associated with working with youth as well as how to translate sophisticated science to youth. They will work closely with the Education Curator in the development and delivery of lessons for K-12 informal education. Interns will also be trained on proper husbandry techniques and animal care standards.
This is an unpaid internship for high school students. The internship is a 20-hour-per-week commitment June-August. How to Apply: Any interested applicants should send cover letter, resume, and essay of intent to email@example.com.
