Last night, President Donald J. Trump delivered a rousing speech as part of an Independence Day Celebration held at Mount Rushmore in South Dakota.
Held at the site of one of America’s greatest national monuments, Mount Rushmore features the likenesses of the “majestic figures of George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt, and Abraham Lincoln, surrounded by the beauty of the Black Hills of South Dakota. Fittingly, this monument tells, “the story of the birth, growth, development and preservation” of the United States of America. “Mount Rushmore brings visitors face to face with the rich heritage we all share.”
It was a fitting backdrop to a speech that highlighted the greatness and blessing to the world that is America.
President Trump did more than extol the virtues of our nation and our people, though. He vowed to fight against those who would warp our history, and to stand up for our American heritage.
