Pocatello-Chubbuck Chamber of Commerce Members at Law Enforcement Appreciation Day BBQ, 2020

The Pocatello-Chubbuck business and nonprofit community really appreciates the hard work and dedication of our local law enforcement personnel, and yesterday they made sure that the men and women who protect and serve know just how much that’s the case.

The Pocatello-Chubbuck Chamber of Commerce, with major support from Portneuf Health Partners and numerous other local businesses and nonprofit organizations, along with the Pocatello Chiefs, hosted the 18th annual Law Enforcement Appreciation BBQ last evening.  From 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., members of law enforcement and their families were invited to stop by the Portneuf Wellness Complex for a meal consisting of hamburgers, hotdogs, chips, and cookies.  Officers and their families were treated to carhop service.

Because of the coronavirus restrictions, the event this year was conducted as a drive thru.  That didn’t dampen the turnout, however, as Pocatello-Chubbuck Chamber of Commerce President & CEO Matt Hunter reported that over 400 law enforcement personnel and their families drove down the American flag-lined entrance to take part.
