The City of Pocatello has released the following Road Closure and Traffic Report for the week of September 14, 2020:
STREET OPERATIONS DEPARTMENT
SWEEPING
o Monday: Northend
o Tuesday: East Side
o Wednesday: Fairway
o Thursday: West Side
PAVING
The Street Department will be paving the following streets beginning Monday, September
14 through Thursday, September 17. No parking will be allowed on the street from 6:30 am until work is completed that day. Construction will require closing the road as work is
performed. Motorists are advised to expect delays in the area and to use alternate routes.
o W Bonneville St from S Lincoln St to the S Lincoln Alley
o W Lewis St from the S Lincoln St to EOP W
o S Lincoln St from W Clark St to appx. 200 ft. past W Whitman St.
o W Center St from S Johnson to EOP W
PAVEMENT MARKINGS & ROAD STRIPING
Street Operations Department will continue striping roads and refreshing crosswalks this
week. There will be intermittent lane closures while crews are painting. Drivers are advised to watch for traffic control to stay safe and avoid driving through fresh paint. Please expect delays while work is being done.
WATER DEPARTMENT
WATER MAINLINE REPLACEMENT
The City of Pocatello Water Department will continue replacing water lines along East Dunn
Street starting on South 2nd Avenue and continuing towards South 7th Avenue. The project began August 31, and is expected to take approximately four weeks to complete. Crews will work the hours of 7:00 am to approximately 5:00 pm, Monday through Thursday. During the project, access to the construction area will be restricted and traffic will be reduced down to one lane while work is being performed.

WATER POLLUTION CONTROL
JETTING SEWER LINES
Crews will be jetting sewer lines throughout the city. Motorists may experience delays or lane closures while crews are performing the work.
EVENTS
PORTNEUF VALLEY FARMERS MARKET
Old Town Pocatello is hosting the “Portneuf Valley Farmers Market” every Saturday beginning May 9 through October 31, 2019. The event is located at the Old Town Pavilion, 420 N. Main St. The Market is open every Saturday from 9 am to 1 pm from May through October. Motorists are advised to use caution and expect delays in the area.
