The City of Pocatello has released the following Road Closure and Traffic Report for the week of October 26, 2020:
STREET OPERATIONS DEPARTMENT
SWEEPING
o Monday: Northend
o Tuesday: East Side
o Wednesday: Fairway
o Thursday: West Side
MILLING & PAVING
The Pocatello Street Department will be milling and paving the following areas this
week. No parking will be allowed on the street from 6:30 am until work is completed that
day. Construction will require closing the road as work is performed. Motorists are advised
to expect delays in the area and to use alternate routes.
Milling on 10/26 and Paving on 10/27
o E Lovejoy Street from S 1st Ave to S 2nd Ave and S 3rd Ave to S 4th Ave
Milling on 10/28 and Paving on 10/29
o Intersection of S Main St and W Benton St
Crews will have W Benton St closed from S Garfield Ave to S Main St and S Main St from W Benton St to W Halliday closed. Detours will be posted. Motorists are advised to use alternate routes.
PAVEMENT MARKINGS
Street Operations Department will continue refreshing crosswalks and pavement markings
this week. There will be intermittent lane closures while crews are painting. Drivers are
advised to watch for traffic control to stay safe and avoid driving through fresh paint. Please expect delays while work is being done. You can view the sweeping map at:

SIGNAL WORK
o West Eldredge/Pole Line Rd
Crews will be performing signal work at the West Eldgredge and Pole Line Rd
intersection on Tuesday, October 27th. Motorists may experience delays or intermittent
lane closures while crews are performing the work.
o FlandroDrive/Yellowstone Ave
Signal maintenance will be performed on the SE corner of Flandro Drive and
Yellowstone Avenue on Thursday, October 29th, beginning at 1 am. The signal will be
inoperable during the maintenance. Crews will have temporary stop signs in place for
the duration of the signal work. There may be intermittent lane closures while work
is being performed. Motorists are advised to use caution and expect delays in the
area.
WATER DEPARTMENT
WATER MAINLINE REPLACEMENT
Crews from the City of Pocatello Water Department will start replacing water main lines
beginning Monday, October 26th on South Second Avenue near Fredregill Road and Fredregill Road. Crews will work between the hours of 6:30 a.m. and approximately 5:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday. During the project, access to the construction area will be restricted and sections of street will be completely closed while workers are digging. However, every effort will be made to provide local access when possible. Parking will also be restricted, and residents are asked to park all vehicles outside the construction zone during the day. At the close of each day, access will be restored to all properties.
WATER POLLUTION CONTROL
JETTING SEWER LINES
Crews will be jetting sewer lines throughout the city. Motorists may experience delays or lane closures while crews are performing the work.

PORTNEUF VALLEY FARMERS MARKET
Old Town Pocatello is hosting the “Portneuf Valley Farmers Market” every Saturday beginning May 9 through October 31, 2019. The event is located at the Old Town Pavilion, 420 N. Main St.
The Market is open every Saturday from 9 am to 1 pm from May through October. Motorists are advised to use caution and expect delays in the area.
