The City of Pocatello has announced a vacancy on the Construction Board of Appeals & Review and two vacancies on the Community Development Block Grant Advisory Committee.
The Construction Board of Appeals & Review has one upcoming vacancy for a representative from the architectural or engineering trades. This individual may be a non-resident of the city as long as they are licensed or registered to perform their trade/profession within the city limits.
This volunteer board reviews interpretations of building codes and enforcement procedures for such codes. The Board also collects data and information pertaining to building code adjustments and procedures.
Meetings are held during the day on an as-needed basis.

Applications for membership must be received by November 24, 2020.
The Community Development Block Grant Advisory Committee has two vacancies open for immediate appointment. The positions are for residents living in one of the program’s target neighborhoods, specifically the Alameda, Whittier, Bonneville or Lewis & Clark neighborhoods.
This volunteer committee reviews and makes recommendations to the City Council regarding adoption of the required Consolidated Plan and annual Community Development Block Grant project funding. Meetings are held the third Tuesday of each month at 12 noon.
Individuals residing in the Alameda, Whittier, Bonneville or Lewis & Clark target neighborhoods are asked to apply. Applications can be obtained by contacting the Mayor’s Office at 911 North 7th Avenue, visiting the Advisory Committees link at pocatello.us or by calling 208-234-6163.
