The Pocatello Police Department has announced that they are accepting lateral transfer applications for experienced officers to join their team. On their Facebook page, they state:
The Pocatello Police Department is accepting lateral transfer applications for experienced officers to join our team. To be eligible for a lateral transfer you must have a minimum of 2 years of experience and be Idaho P.O.S.T. certified or certifiable. Officers that hold a P.O.S.T certification from another state may challenge the P.O.S.T. exam to become certified in Idaho. Potential applicants with questions about the challenge process are invited to contact Capt. Knapp or Lt. Walker at 208-234-6114.
