The Pocatello Police Department’s, “Give the Cops a Bird” turkey donation program is going strong, with turkeys and cash being donated daily.  Some of the local businesses that have contributed include Nick Garcia of Puerta Vallarta Mexican Restaurant, Courtesy Ford, and Phil Meador Toyota.

But, time is running out for this year’s donations.  On the Pocatello Police Department Facebook page, they say, “Don’t miss your chance to Give the Cops a Bird.  Help us, help the community and make sure no one goes hungry this holiday season.  Just bring your turkeys or monetary donations to the lobby of the police department.  We’ll take care of everything else.

All proceeds go directly to the Idaho Foodbank.   The deadline for turkey donations is Friday, November 20th.”

Turkeys can be dropped off 24/7 at the Pocatello Police Department lobby, but working hours are preferred.  To learn more about this program, or to follow the Pocatello Police Department, visit their Facebook page:  https://www.facebook.com/PocatelloPD
