Pocatello Police Department’s, “Give the Cops a Bird” Fundraiser Brings in $10,000 and over 200 Turkeys for Idaho Food Bank

The Pocatello Police Department’s, “Give the Cops a Bird” Fundraiser, which recently concluded, was wildly successful, bringing in $10,000 and 202 turkeys for the Idaho Food Bank.  The amount raised was almost three times as much as the $3,500 brought in from the event last year.

According to the Facebook post on the Pocatello Police Department website summarizing the outcome, the Idaho Food Bank has confirmed that the money raised will allow them to provide 50,000 meals.

The Department posted, “We are extremely grateful for EVERYONE in the community who donated to the Idaho Foodbank by giving the cops a bird.  The outpouring of kindness and generosity was truly amazing.”
