Lt. Gov. Janice McGeachin and Rep. Dorothy Moon (R-Stanley) continue to host Capitol Clarity every Thursday at noon. Yesterday saw week 5 of the popular and informative meeting.
Capitol Clarity is a class that teaches Idahoans how to get involved in government and provides important updates on legislation written to ensure Idahoans remain free or recover freedoms either threatened or taken away on the pretext of the coronavirus emergency, Washington overreach, tax relief legislation, and more.
The latest episode begins with Idaho State Controller Brandon D. Woolf demonstrating how to use the Transparent Idaho website (see website here: Transparent Idaho Website). Woolf is followed by Representative Ron Nate (R-Rexburg) discussing repeal of the grocery tax and Senator Christy Zito (R-Hammett) on the Idaho Small Arms Protection Act. After the presentations, Representative Dorothy Moon and Lt. Governor Janice McGeachin answer questions and provide updates on legislation. Finally, Lt. Governor McGeachin announces an upcoming Mock Legislative Committee that will give Idahoans in attendance the opportunity to see what it is like to participate as a legislator.
