Nine firefighters with the North Bannock Fire Department (NBFD) passed their International Fire Service Accreditation Congress (IFSAC) Firefighter One Psychomotor exam last Saturday. Passing the test were firefighters Steven Call, Sheen Conlin, Bob Nelson, Joe Nelson, Jorge Santos, Carson Barham, and Captains Kody Walker, Bryan Wheat, and Marc Farnsworth.
The volunteer members of the North Bannock Fire Department donate their time at the station, on calls for service, but also to study both at home and in the classroom.
Training of the North Bannock Fire Department Firefighters is led by NBFD Training Officer and Assistant Chief Mark Brood.
As noted on their website, “The International Fire Service Accreditation Congress (IFSAC) is a not-for-profit, peer-driven, self-governing system of both fire service certifying entities and higher education fire-related degree programs. IFSAC’s mission is to plan and administer a high-quality, uniformly delivered accreditation system with an international scope.”
