The North Bannock Fire Department is urging residents to change their smoke detector batteries as they “spring forward” this weekend.
In a social media post, they say, “No matter how long the winter is, Spring is sure to follow. When you spring forward this weekend, check the date (Smoke detectors older then 10 years should be replaced) and change your batteries (even if they are still good). Remember to test your alarms monthly!”
