If Pocatello residents are concerned about their property taxes continuing to increase, it might be a good idea to find out what is going on with the City’s current budget discussion.

At a work session with the City Council held on July 8, a lengthy discussion was held on the City’s proposed budget.  A clearly divided council touched on the possibility of deficit spending, how much to ask for in increased property taxes, the possibility of building a new city hall and laying off City staff.
