Registration Opens for Youth Flag Football

Registration is now open for the Community Recreation Center’s Youth Flag Football teams.  Pocatello Team Sports has issued the following announcement:

Flag Football is open to children who will be in either the third or fourth grade this fall.  Games are played Mondays through Wednesdays at the Halliwell lighted football field.  Game times are 6:00pm and 7:15pm.  Practices may begin on August 15, 2022.  Volunteer coaches will be needed for all teams.  Please be aware before registering that you may be asked to volunteer to coach your child’s team.

Registration will begin Monday, July 11th and the last day of regular registration will be Friday, August 12, 2022.  Registration fees are $55.00 for residents of Pocatello and $60.00 for nonresidents.  A $10.00 late fee may be assessed beginning Monday, August 15, 2022. Team practices may be allowed to start on Monday, August 15, 2022.  The season is scheduled to begin on Tuesday, September 6, 2022.  Starting dates are subject to change based on registration numbers.  Please visit our Team Sports website at http://teamsports.pocatello.us.

Adult volunteer coaches are needed to fill vacant positions from the previous year.  Please be aware before registering that you may be asked to volunteer to coach your child’s team.  If you have any questions concerning the program or are interested in becoming a volunteer coach for the upcoming Flag Football season, please contact the Pocatello Parks and Recreation Office at 234-6235 as soon as possible.  Volunteer coaches are subject to a background check.
