The realty world can be confusing for buyers and sellers alike.  Magazines, websites, and conventional wisdom offer conflicting views on how to maximize your home’s value and your buying power.  Chris and Margaret Schnitzler, of HomeSmart Premier Realty, are shedding light on the subject by sharing Realty Tips on their Facebook page.Chris and Margaret remind sellers to pay attention to the outside of the property, not just the inside.  They remark, “So many buyers will not even look at a house based on the drive-by they do beforehand. Clean up the yard, fix the cracks in the sidewalk, and wash the windows would be a great place to start.”

On the other hand, the Schnitzlers urge buyers not to focus too heavily on minor details.  They point out, “Houses that need a little TLC can be a great buy and sometimes those simple fixes, like carpet and paint, can be negotiated into the price of the home. If you’re looking for a ‘sweeper-upper’ or a ‘fixer-upper’ we’d love to help you.”
