The City of Pocatello’s Outdoor Recreation Program will be holding adult rock climbing classes at Ross Park, 2700 S 2nd Ave, on May 6 and 13.  Each class will begin at 10:00 a.m. and end at 1:30 p.m., with a lunch break at 12:30 (lunch is NOT provided).  Cost of the class is $50.  The class description reads:

“Trial and error is no way to learn to climb. This course is designed for adults who want to be able to set up their own climbs, tie the proper knots and belay with confidence. Equipment is provided, but you are welcome to bring your own and learn to use it. Many adults with kids in our youth programs take this course so they can take their family out safely after our programs end. Student to instructor ratios are low for maximum learning. Intermediate climbing takes basic techniques and begins to apply them to more varied situations. Participants MUST attend both a Knot Tying & Anchor Building clinic before attending Beginner or Intermediate Classes. Both clinics are free with class registration.
