Pocatello–In a social media post last night, local watchdog group Pocatello for Accountable Government Entities announced that they will be sharing a series of video clips summarizing the city’s budget discussions for FY 2024. The post reads:
We selected key exchanges from the FY24 budgeting cycle to highlight in video clips over the next week or so. The clips are a little long at 5 – 10 minutes each, but they’ll be worth your time to watch. Please do! Know your representatives.

Councilman Mangum introduces discussion to increase mayoral salary to about $110K . . . no less than $100K.
” . . . the position of mayor, it isn’t about the person in the seat right now . . . I think that position is grossly underpaid . . . I’m definitely in favor of a larger increase than we have discussed so far . . .” (Leeuwrik).
Note: The mayoral raise remains at 11.4% as of the budget publication.
