Football: A Not-So-Great Start for the D-Backs
Century High School’s Diamondbacks went against Sugar Salem under the lights in Boise on Friday night. The first quarter started with a rushing touchdown by Sugar Salem with an extra point to follow, making it a 7-0 lead. From there it was a blowout win for Sugar Salem: 43-0.
Sugar Salem now stands at 1-0, while Century drops to 0-1.
The Diamondbacks have their next game here at home this Friday, August 25, at 7:00 p.m. They will play the Hillcrest Knights of Idaho Falls.
Soccer: A Tough Loss in Poky
Pocatello High School Thunder Boys’ Soccer took on the Highland Rams Friday night. It was a close 0-0 game, ending when Highland hit two goals on PHS junior Wesley Hirschi! The Thunder drops to 0-1 in the standings, and the Rams rise to 1-0.
The season has just started, with Pocatello High School Thunder playing their next game at home against Idaho Fall’s Hillcrest Knights this coming Tuesday. The game starts at 7:00 at Lookout Field.
The Highland High School Rams will have their next game this Friday at 1:00 p.m., against Boise at home.
