Pocatello–The East Fork Mink Creek Nordic Center’s popular “Ski for Free” Day will be held on Saturday, January 6. The City Calendar offers the following details about the event:
Join us for our season kickoff event sponsored by ICCU! Both trail passes and ski and snowshoe rentals are free for the day. Volunteer instructors are also available to give free mini lessons. If you need to borrow equipment, please sign up in advance for a 2-hour slot at rent.pocatello.gov. We will have limited additional equipment available on a first-come, first-served basis for those who do not sign up, but it is not guaranteed. You can also consider renting in advance from a ski shop in Pocatello to guarantee a seamless, stress-free day. Be sure to checkout our Facebook page to stay up to date on the event!
The Nordic Center is located on East Fork Mink Creek Rd. The ski rental center is open from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Fridays, and from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.
