We wanted to give everyone a quick update on the reports of a person possibly impersonating a police officer. At this time, detectives have not located evidence to support or discredit the reports made to the Pocatello Police Department (PPD). All officers are following every avenue in this case, actively reviewing cameras in the areas of the reported stops and talking with anyone who may have heard something.
Our community’s safety is our top priority, we encourage everyone to remain vigilant in their safety and well-being. If you ever question the legitimacy of a traffic stop, police officer, police investigation, or anything of that nature contact the police department.
