The Bannock County Historical Society’s monthly business meeting for February will feature a presentation by Ellen Ryan, Head of Idaho State University’s Special Collections and Archives. Ellen is offering a unique perspective on a local family’s history.
Fred Stedtfeld spent much of his young adult life moving around the United States, slowly making his way westward. Eventually, he married and he and his wife Pauline settled in Pocatello, establishing themselves as local business owners, purchasing land, and building themselves a home. In this presentation, you will learn how Fred made his way to Pocatello, and the jobs he had along the way. If you are interested in history, genealogy, architecture, and food, this is a presentation not to be missed!
Due to ongoing construction in the Museum building, this event will be held in the cafeteria of the Veterans Memorial Building (300 N. Johnson) on February 20th at 6 PM. This event is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served after the presentation.
