March 9, 2024 (Compassion and Hope Pregnancy Center, March 8, 2024)
We have wrapped up another successful Banquet for Life (January 26, 2024) with the help of guest speaker, Rebecca Kiessling. Her message of hope shared through her life story of being conceived in rape, targeted for abortion and protected by law encouraged us to think deeper into the argument that there are exceptions to pro-life laws. Her testimony of redemption in Christ, God’s purpose for her life and the importance of protecting life no matter how small was inspiring. Although we did not meet our financial goal set for the evening, we are praising God for everyone who was in attendance and for every dollar that was so generously given! We know our finances are in God’s hands and trust that he will provide everything we need in His perfect timing. We praise Him for the record number of guests (327!), many of whom were experiencing their first banquet, and we have since had several churches and individuals partner monthly with us! Of course, this event wouldn’t happen without the hands, feet and financial help of volunteers, sponsors, and table ambassadors-thank you to all who contributed!
We are already looking forward to our 2025 event featuring David Ripley, president of Idaho Chooses Life, the leading pro-life organization in Idaho. You can read more about this organization as well as current articles about the pro-life legal battles at idahochooseslife.org. As we review all aspects of the event, we learn how to improve it by partnering with more churches and businesses so we can inform more people about who we are and what we do to serve the women, men and families in our community. It is also our pleasure to welcome Bethany and Jason Stanley to the Banquet for Life Committee and watch them take this event to the next level! We will be communicating about how to get involved with the next banquet in the next few months.
