Chubbuck–The Bannock County Coroner’s Office, in cooperation with the Chubbuck Police Department, has confirmed the identity of the deceased found in a horse pasture on West Linden Avenue in Chubbuck on March 13, 2024.
- Deceased: Nasibu Nuro, 22, of Boise
Next of kin has been notified.
The incident remains under investigation by Chubbuck Police.

Chubbuck Police Department–On 03/13/24, at approximately 4:50 pm, members of the Chubbuck Police Department responded to a home on West Linden Avenue, after a citizen found some blood and clothing items on their property.
While collecting the evidence, a deceased adult African American male was found lying on the ground in a horse pasture on the property. A firearm was also located nearby and, at this time, it cannot be ruled out that the evidence is related to the shooting that took place on 03/12/24.
The deceased male has not yet been identified and the Chubbuck Police Department is seeking the communities help in doing so. If you have any information pertaining to this investigation, please contact our Communications Center at (208) 237-7172.
