Pocatello PD Marks Department Milestones, Presents “Distinguished Service by a Citizen” Award

Yesterday Pocatello Police were able to celebrate several accomplishments. Promotions, retirement, awards, and new faces.

Retirement

Officer Awards

The following officers received:

Distinguished Service by a Citizen – This award was presented to David Worley after he observed and intervened during an incident where a female was being battered. His actions have contributed significantly to the betterment of the Greater Pocatello Community and saved a female from sustaining further bodily harm or death.   

New Patrol Officers

The following officers were sworn in as new patrol officers and will begin their training with the PPD.

New Dispatchers

Danielle Kripner and Chase Baxter were sworn in as dispatchers and currently in training.

New Ordinance Officer

Melissa Landis was sworn in as an Ordinance Officer, she has almost completed her training.

Promotions

Due to the retirement of a Lt. Nelson and Cpl. Peck, the following have been promoted to lead the department.
