The Stephen D. Merrill Detachment #698 of the Marine Corps League elected new leadership at their meeting held on Thursday, June 6. Elected were:
- Commandant – Mario Chacon
- Sr. Vice Commandant – Phil Clifton
- Jr. Vice Commandant – Jim Van Osdol
Visiting Past Jr. Department Commandant Terry Blessing swore in the new officers, with Reina Avila acting as Sgt. of Arms.
The Detachment meets on the first Thursday of every month at 7:00 p.m. at the Bannock County Veterans Memorial Building, 300 N. Johnson Avenue in Pocatello.
