Report from the GOP State Convention
By: Bannock County GOP Chairman Craig Yadon
Bannock County Republicans can be proud of the delegation that we sent to the Idaho GOP State Convention in Coeur d’Alene, ID this past weekend. While Coeur d’Alene is quite a drive, we felt right at home with fellow conservatives from all across the state.
Many of the delegates were newly elected precinct committee officers who prevailed against the big money Gem State Heist efforts. We heard from a great group of speakers including Attorney General Raul Labrador, Arizona Senate Candidate, Kari Lake and political commentator, Bill Whittle.
The common message focused on the great dangers of Ranked-Choice Voting. This initiative will be on the November ballot and must be defeated to ensure Idaho remains the conservative state so many are coming to.
Bannock County Republican delegates overwhelmingly supported Dorothy Moon for IDGOP Chair as well as the great team of conservatives who will be leading the Idaho Republican Party over the next two years at the state level. This IDGOP Executive Board has been given a mandate by the grassroots conservatives to defeat Ranked-Choice Voting and to keep Idaho red.
Bannock County Republicans will be working hard to get voters to the polls in the coming elections. In the most recent primary election, Bannock County experienced some of the lowest turnout in the state. The Bannock County Republicans are strongly united behind Donald Trump and all efforts to protect our way of life and freedoms in Idaho.
