Stand Up for Idaho (SUFI) will be hosting Ron Carlson on Wednesday, July 10, who will be speaking on Idaho’s Water Wars. The announcement of the event reads:
Wednesday, July 10th – Understanding Idaho’s ‘Water Wars’ – Ron Carlson, “The Snake(s) in the River”
Ron Carlson has dealt with water issues in the Snake River for over 30 years including being Watermaster of Snake River Water District 1, the largest Water District in the United States. The Water District 1 Watermaster distributes all of the water diverted from the river and its tributaries above Milner Dam. Ron is know as the ‘expert’ in Idaho water law and in surface water use and distribution, and was awarded the ‘Idaho Water Users Hall of Fame’ and the ‘Agricultural Hall of Fame’.
This is a continuing effort to help us understand the ‘water wars’ occurring in Idaho and what we can do about them.
As always, attendance to our Town Halls is free but donations are greatly appreciated.
