The Office of the State Public Defender and the Sixth Judicial District Magistrate Commission are pleased to announce that two (2) applicants have been selected to interview for the newly created Sixth Judicial District Public Defender position. The candidates who will be interviewed are listed below in alphabetical order.
DAVID MARTINEZ – Chief Public Defender, Bannock County
MICHEAL MORRISSEY – Public Defender Department Head for Power and Oneida Counties
Interviews will be held on Friday, July 19, 2024, beginning at 9:30 a.m. at the Bannock
County Courthouse room 212, located at 624 East Center, Pocatello, Idaho.
The interviews will be open to the public.
The Commission will deliberate in executive session immediately following the interviews to
select the District Public Defender for the Sixth Judicial District.
