The Steven D. Merrell chapter of the Marine Corps League held their annual picnic yesterday at Jensen’s Grove Amphitheater in Blackfoot. Marines, MCL Associate Members, FMF Corpsmen, Chaplains, and their families were invited to enjoy good conversation and a hamburger & hotdog lunch.
The mission of the Marine Corps League is to promote the interest and to preserve traditions of the United States Marine Corps; strengthen the fraternity of Marines and their families; serve Marines, FMF Corpsmen, and FMF Chaplains who wear or who have worn the Eagle, Globe and Anchor; and foster the ideals of Americanism and patriotic volunteerism.

Marine Corps League members meet in Pocatello on the first Thursday of every month beginning at 7:00 p.m. at the Bannock County Veterans Memorial Building, 300 N. Johnson Avenue, in Pocatello.
