In an August 26 article, the Kootenai Journal is reporting that ICE has apologized for listing Kootenai County as ‘Non-cooperative.’

The apology comes after a June 21, 2024, memo from ICE listed Kootenai County, Bonneville County, and Power County as not cooperating with ICE detainers.  Law enforcement in all three counties objected to this characterization.  Kootenai County Sheriff Robert “Bob” Norris, in an August 22 press release, stated that the non-cooperation allegations were, “completely false.”  See article, here:  Sanctuary Counties in Idaho?
