Ranked Choice Voting in Idaho
Proposition 1 will be on your November ballot
This November, Idaho voters will see Proposition 1 on their ballots, which has been sold to you as “open primaries” but is really something very different. This initiative would create a top four jungle primary as well as ranked choice voting, a complex scheme designed to turn Idaho blue.
Ranked choice voting has consistently left voters feeling confused and uncertain about the security of their ballots. Not only is the system complex for voters, but it is also challenging — if not impossible — to audit manually. According to the Secretary of State’s office, only a few companies produce voting machines that can handle ranked choice voting, with Dominion being one of them.
Make no mistake, Prop 1 will WRECK Idaho. Its stated purpose is to make it easier for moderates and leftists to win elections in our red state, and that’s just the beginning. If you don’t rank all four candidates on the general election ballot, then your ballot could be thrown out (they call it “exhausted”) and won’t even count!
If we pass Prop 1, it will also open the door for the very leftist ideas that many came to Idaho to escape. Get ready for gun control, abortion on demand, higher taxes, and more government spending than you can imagine. The Idaho Republican Party has come out against Proposition 1 and has more information on their website of the dangers if it passes.
