The annual Stossel in the Classroom essay and video contest is now open, with an entry deadline of March 21, 2025. This year’s topics are: Minimum Wage, Immigration, Choice Versus Coercion, and Cancel Culture or Censorship. Students in grades 5-12 are eligible for the essay contest and the video contest. The video contest also has a college student division. Winners in the middle school, high school, and college divisions each win a $2500 scholarship.
The contest description on their website reads:
“The Stossel in the Classroom student essay and video contests are back for the 2024-25 school year! We’re offering $25,000 in cash prizes for students & teachers. The essay and video contests are open to secondary schoolers (with separate divisions for high school and middle school), and undergrads can participate in the college division of the video contest.”
