A Medal of Honor ceremony will take place tonight at 5:30 p.m. at the Bannock County Veterans Memorial Building (Veterans Building), 300 N. Johnson Avenue in Pocatello. A community dinner follows the ceremony.
The event honors Pocatello’s only Medal of Honor recipient, Sgt. James E. Johnson. A Medal of Honor will be on display at the Veterans Building, and Johnson’s daughter, Stephanie McKay Johnson, will be attending the ceremony.
The public is invited to attend.
