Today, November 10, 2024, the nation celebrates the 249th birthday of the United States Marine Corps. We remember that on November 10, 1775, the Continental Congress created a new corps, the Continental Marines, with the Continental Marine Act.
Locally, the Steven D. Merrell Detachment #698 of the Marine Corps League in Pocatello will be celebrating the Birthday tonight with a birthday party including Marines, MCL Associate Members, FMF Corpsmen, Chaplains, and their families at the Purpose Center.
