Light Up Downey is scheduled for Monday, December 2. The evening’s festivities begin with a soup dinner provided by the DUP and Legion Auxiliary at 6:00 pm. At 6:30, Christmas music will be performed by the students of Downey Elementary, and at 6:45 the City of Downey switches on the lights. The evening concludes with a light parade and a visit from Santa Claus at the community center.
