Idaho Representative Russ Fulcher is warning of Beneficial Ownership Reporting scams.
In a social media post he states:
It has come to my attention that there are multiple scam websites reporting to be the official site to file Beneficial Ownership Information Reports (BOIRs) with FinCEN.
The only OFFICIAL website for reporting Beneficial Ownership Information Reports (BOIRs) is https://fincen.gov/boi
Please be advised that as of January 2, 2025, those entities previously required to file BOIR forms (including LLCs or HOAs with board members), are currently not required to file this information because of a recent federal court order. However, those entities may continue to file on a voluntary basis. Please continue to monitor https://fincen.gov/boi for updated information on reporting requirements.
As always, be vigilant and aware of fraudulent websites.
