(ID Dept. of Education Press Release, March 5. 2025)
(BOISE) – To help ensure that Idaho’s districts and charters are fully staffed with the right professionals to support student success, the Idaho Department of Education will again host a series of statewide Educator Career Fairs throughout the month of April.
The fairs offer districts and charters the opportunity to connect in person with prospective educators who are either certified or eligible for certification through traditional or non-traditional routes. In addition, the Idaho Department of Education’s Certification and Professional Standards Division and Career Technical Education (CTE) staff will provide training to district and charter staff on CTE, Alternative Authorizations, professional endorsements and assignment reporting prior to each fair.
Districts and charters are encouraged to register now, as space is limited and will be reserved on a first-come, first-served basis.
Prospective educators are encouraged to dress for success and bring their resumes, as some districts and charters may be scheduling or conducting interviews on the spot. Those interested in pursuing a teaching career are encouraged to attend regardless of certification status, and Idaho Department of Education and Career Technical Education staff will be available to answer questions about routes to certification.
“Preparing Idaho’s students for success in school, careers and beyond means putting capable and dedicated educators into classrooms statewide,” said Superintendent of Public Instruction Debbie Critchfield. “These career fairs give our schools a head start on maintaining a strong teaching staff while offering those looking to get started on their careers the chance to become an educator and make a difference for Idaho students.”
Idaho Department of Education Career Fair events will take place in a variety of locations during the month of April:
• April 1 at the Galaxy Event Center in Meridian
• April 23 at the Hilton Garden Inn in Idaho Falls
• April 24 at the Herrett Center for Arts and Sciences in Twin Falls
• April 29 at North Idaho College in Coeur d’Alene
• April 30 at Lewis Clark State College in Lewiston
