On Monday, March 10, the members of Patriots for Liberty & Constitution will be discussing Federalist 42 and Article 1, Section 9, of the U.S. Constitution.
The group meets starting at 6:30 p.m. on Monday evenings at Mountain Valley Baptist Church, 202 S. 7th Avenue in Pocatello.

FEDERALIST PAPERS:
We will resume our study of the Federalist Papers with Federalist 42.
In Federalist 42, Madison will be discussing the justifications for many of the items in Section 8 and 9 of the Constitution and the arguments for why they should be under federal jurisdiction. Specifically: making treaties, diplomatic functions, piracy and international law, the regulation of commerce, uniform naturalization laws, and the prohibition of the importation of slaves.
THE CONSTITUTION READING:
We will begin Article 1, Section 9, things Congress cannot do.
