The video of the Bannock County Commissioners Area of City Impact kick-off meeting has been posted on Bannock County’s YouTube page.
A city’s Area of Impact (AOI) is a geographic area in which a city anticipates it will expand and annex in the near future. AOI’s are to be reviewed, once established, every ten years.
AOI boundaries are negotiated between counties and cities within the county.
The University of Idaho College of Law released an Area of City Impact Tool Kit of Guidelines and Resources for Use by Idaho Cities and Counties in December 2012. The document can be found here: area_of_city_impact_toolkit-20121.pdf
