On March 25, the Bannock County Commissioners held an on-the-record review of a Bannock County Planning and Development Council (Council) decision to deny a Conditional Use Permit for a gravel pit. The decision stemmed from a Council meeting that took place on January 16.
Following a brief presentation by Bannock County Planning and Development staff, the commissioners deliberated. Commissioner Bullock stated, “I think due diligence was done” and that he had no reason to, “go against the findings…” Commissioner Moser said that he agreed with Commissioner Bullock. Commissioner Hough, Chairman of the Board of Commissioners said he concurred, and that, “I felt like everything was done appropriately.”
Following their discussion, Commissioner Bullock moved to uphold the denial, and the commissioners voted unanimously to do so.
The applicant has the option to continue the appeal process.
