SWAN VALLEY, Idaho – Idaho State Police is investigating a single-vehicle injury crash that occurred at 4:56 p.m. on October 9, 2025. The crash occurred at milepost 372 on US26.
At approximately 4:56 p.m., a 69-year-old male from Idaho Falls, Idaho was traveling westbound on US26 on a 1997 Harley Davidson motorcycle. The male failed to negotiate a curve and the bike went off the road near milepost 372.
The male sustained critical injuries and was life-flighted to a local hospital. The passenger, a 68-year-old female, from Idaho Falls, Idaho, was transported by ground ambulance to a local hospital. Neither the driver nor the passenger was wearing a helmet.
On October 29, 2029, the male succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.
Idaho State Police was assisted by Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office, Swan Valley Ambulance and Swan Valley Fire.
