This update provides additional information regarding the overnight shooting that occurred December 14 at approximately 2 a.m. near Center Street and 2nd Avenue.
On December 14, Pocatello Police officers located a man lying in the roadway with a gunshot wound. Officers immediately rendered medical aid until emergency medical personnel arrived. The individual was transported by ambulance to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Following a thorough investigation by the Pocatello Police Department, all individuals involved have been identified. Detectives are consulting with the Bannock County Prosecutor’s Office as the investigation continues to determine whether any charges will be filed.
This appears to be an isolated incident, and there is no known threat to the public.
