The Idaho Freedom Caucus strongly supports the critical initiative taken by Senator Brian Lenney and Representative Josh Tanner in calling for greater accountability and safeguards regarding the disbursement of childcare grant funds administered by the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare.
Based on recently exposed Minnesota fraud taking place in child grant disbursement programs, their request for a temporary pause pending enhanced fraud-prevention measures reflects responsible stewardship of taxpayer dollars and appropriate legislative oversight.
We commend their proactive efforts and stand with them in supporting transparency, integrity, and the protection of Idaho families and taxpayers.
