Idaho Falls–Wednesday, January 14th – Howard Rynerson, Ron Nate, and Representative Rod Furniss – Pros & Cons with Repealing Idaho’s Grocery Tax
Should Idaho be taxing food – a basic necessity of life? Idaho currently does tax groceries and legislative efforts to repeal Idaho’s grocery tax have failed. Now there is an effort underway to gain enough petition signatures to enable an Initiative to repeal Idaho’s grocery tax be placed on the November 2026 ballot, thereby letting the voters decide.
Howard Rynerson (Chairman of the Payette County Republican Central Committee), Ron Nate (President of the Idaho Freedom Foundation), and Representative Rod Furniss (District 31) will all discuss (via zoom) the pros and cons associated with repealing Idaho’s Grocery Tax.
Jolyn Thomas of KID Newsradio 106.3 will moderate the discussion.
NOTE: Representative Furniss has an early conflict so tonight’s town hall will start at 7:00pm
Attendance to our Town Halls is free but donations are greatly appreciated. We are an IRS 501(c)3 nonprofit organization and donations are tax deductible.
