Contractors working on the Fire Fuels Mitigation project, funded through the Western States Fire Managers Grant, are finishing work in the Lupine area and will be moving into the City Creek area as early as [Thursday] or Friday.

Once work begins, the area bound by City Creek Road and North Fork Road, accessed from the Upper City Creek parking lot, will be closed to public use until work is complete.
For everyone’s safety, please follow all posted trail closures. The equipment being used (including a masticator) can throw debris 300+ feet, creating serious hazards. Compliance with closures helps crews work efficiently and safely, and helps expedite completion of the project.

Thank you for your cooperation as we work to reduce wildfire risk and protect this area.
