(Pocatello Police Department, February 18, 2026)

On February 15, 2026, at approximately 10:06 pm, officers with the Pocatello Police Department responded to an address in the 700 block of South Arthur for a report of two women who were stabbed by an unknown male assailant.

One victim, later identified as 32-year-old female Rajah Keller of Pocatello, was found conscious with multiple stab wounds. Officers began immediate medical aid, and the Pocatello Fire Department transported Rajah Keller to Portneuf Medical Center.

The other female in the residence is 49-year-old Starla Keller of Pocatello. Officers observed Starla Keller with a large cut on the side of her face. Starla Keller reported to officers that she observed an unknown male, approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall, with short hair, wearing a hat and a dark jacket. Starla Keller reported to officers seeing the unknown person with Rajah Keller, and when Starla Keller walked into the same area in the residence as the two, the unknown assailant walked past Starla Keller and stabbed her in the face. The unknown assailant left the residence. Starla Keller said, “I’m calling the police.” The unknown assailant ran south on Arthur from the scene.

Due to the injuries suffered by Rajah Keller, she was sent on Life Flight to the University of Utah hospital. Currently, Rajah Keller is reported to be in stable condition. Starla Keller was transported to Portneuf Medical Center by ambulance for her injuries and later released.

Officers continued the investigation into this incident, including canvassing the area, reviewing all available cell phone data and surveillance footage, and interviewing multiple individuals. Over time, officers located a video and a photo of Rajah Keller with another person. Further follow-up identified the person with Rajah Keller as Marita Gonzales, a 32-year-old female of Pocatello. Search warrants were filed, and officers located items of evidentiary value at Marita Gonzales’ residence.

On February 17, 2026, at approximately 2100 hours, Marita Gonzales was arrested for one count of attempted murder and one count of aggravated battery.
